Telecom sector’s outstanding issues to be resolved: Minister
ISLAMABAD, Jul 4 (APP): Minister of State for Information Technology Anusha Rehman Khan Thursday underlined the need for resolving all outstanding issues of the telecom sector. The minister was talking in a meeting with a high level delegation of Etisalat, said a press release here. Jamal Saif Al Jarwn (Chief Regional Officer Asia), Abdul Rahim A.
Al Nooryani (Chairman & CEO) and Walid Irshad (CEO, PTCL) were included in the delegation. Both the sides showed their eagerness to resolve all the disconcerting matters and to look forward for positive development of Information Communication Technology industry in Pakistan.
The minister appraised the delegation of the government’s firm resolve to make Pakistan a prosperous, developed and a corruption free country.
The delegation appreciated the vision of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif towards using Information Technology and Telecom as an enabler for transparency development and good governance in the country and aspired to meet prime minister soon.
They expressed their interest to fully participate in all future initiatives of the government in telecom sector to strengthen the bonds of friendship between the two countries.
