Discovery of Hydrocarbons at Shahdad X-1 (Gambat South)
PPL has announced discovery of hydrocarbons at 2nd Exploratory well Shahdad X-1 in Gambat South Block in District Sanghar, Sindh. PPL is the operator of the block with 65% working interest.
Drill stem test results (DST) from Lower Goru Formation have yielded 27.8mmcf/day of gas and 337bbl/day condensates on 64/64” choke size. Back of the envelope calculation reveals an annualized EPS impact of PKR 1.2/sh for PPL.
