KARACHI, Jan 7 (APP) : Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) has planned to send a trade delegation to Dubai to promote Pakistani products and services, besides paving way for creating strong business linkages between the business communities of Pakistan, Dubai and other GCC states. The request for sending a KCCI’s trade delegation was made to Junaid Esmail Makda, Chairman International Affairs Sub-Committee of KCCI by  Commercial Counselor of the Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai, Dr. Saeed Qadir during Makda’s recent visit to Dubai, said a KCCI releasee here on Tuesday.
President KCCI Aamir Abdullah Zaki welcomed the invitation and planned to send the same at the earliest for promoting Pakistani products and services, besides paving way for creating strong business linkages of Pakistan businessmen with other business communities.
Dr. Saeed Qadir also stressed on signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between KCCI and Dubai Chamber, which should later on be signed with other UAE Chambers to capitalize business and investment opportunities arising in wake of hosting Expo 2020 by Dubai.
An MOU between various Pakistani Chambers and Dubai Chamber will institutionalize business to business contacts and will facilitate development and promotion of the Pakistan’s exports of manpower, goods and services and joint venture between UAE based investors in Pakistan, he added.
Regarding KCCI Trade Delegation’s visit to Dubai, Dr. Qadir advised KCCI to give the Consulate General of Pakistan one month’s time for arranging appropriate business meetings with Dubai Chamber and other relevant trade bodies and buying houses.
Junaid Esmail Makda who had a separate meeting with Vice President International Affairs of Dubai Chamber of Commerce, Hassan Al Hashim, said KCCI and Dubai Chamber of Commerce are willing to further strengthen ties between both chambers.
