China – Another powerful explosion at a chemical factory is being reported in Dongying city, Shandong province. The explosion occurred just a few hours ago and details are few.


The Communist Party-owned paper said the incident took place in Dongying city, without giving additional information.
A chemical warehouse fire and explosion in northern China’s Tianjin municipality on Aug. 12 killed at least 158 people, including 94 firefighters, and led to a government crackdown on hazardous-goods storage.
Reports on social-media describe the chemical plant blast as being felt and shattering glass at 50 KM away. Initial reports state that the fire is under control. We will be following the situation and update when more information is available.
This is the second major chemical factory explosion in less than three weeks. The previous being the massive blast in Tainjin that happened on August 12th and claimed over 100 lives, injuring over 700 people.
