Faran Sugar to invest Rs 280 million in food company project

Faran Sugar Mills Limited has planned to establish a food company with the initial investment of Rs 280 million. According to material information sent to Pakistan Stock Exchange, the board of directors of Faran Sugar Mills has discussed a proposal for investment in food business in line with its long-term strategy of diversification. The board approved to invest Rs 280 million in the proposed project “Uni-Food Industries Limited” subject to approval from shareholders and compliance with all legal formalities.
