14th CFA Excellence Awards – Faran Rizvi named best equity Trader

CFA Society Pakistan picked the star performers from over 100 brokerage firms and 500 top finance professionals in Pakistan, during the 14th CFA Excellence Awards. The awards are also known as Oscars of the Financial Sector.

Equity Trading is considered one of the toughest and most demanding profession in financial industry. Top equity traders encapsulate the art of risk management and timely judgement in volatile markets. This year, the honor of No.1 Equity Trader in Pakistan was presented to Faran Rizvi, Head of Equity Sales, JS Global Capital Limited.

Faran said, “Becoming emotionless and methodical while executing trades worth billions of rupees, is what separates top trader from mediocre. The industry has a lot of room to grow from here because a lot of investors lose their investments because of unqualified traders. I suggest CFA Association to conduct worships for the professional training of traders and raise the industry standards.”

This year, the Runner Up Award in Equity Trader Category was given to another veteran trader and CEO of Insight Securities, Zubair Ghulam Hussain. Zubair runs one of the emerging brokerage firms in Pakistan, and has built the reputation of being one of the best trade execution professionals in the country.
