ISLAMABAD Aug 25, (APP) The home remittances sent from expatriate Pakistanis to their siblings and families have almost doubled in last five years, revealed in the documents placed by the ministry of Finance in parliament. The expatriate Pakistanis have sent US $ 55.01 billion in last five years. The home remittances have registered a phenomenal increase of US $ 13.92 billion in 2012-13 as comparing to US $ 7.81 billion in 2008-09.  The expatriate Pakistanis have sent $ 7.81 billion in 2008-09 to their families, $ 8.90 billion in 2009-10, $ 11.20 billion in 2010-11, $ 13.18 billion in 2011-12 and $ 13.92 billion in 2012-13.
